  • "My family and I often take day trips to Philadelphia on Saturdays during the year, but we decided to come up to Philadelphia this past Friday, and in the process take advantage of one of the restaurants in town that is not open for lunch on Saturday. We decided to try Tequila's given the great reviews we had read. We had a fabulous meal including ceviche, carne asada ... and my son had queso fundido that he loved. The meal was the best Mexican food that we can recall having, and the service was wonderful too. Our server and the other assistants played jokes and did a magic trick for my son and he had a wonderful time."

The decor was charming, the food was delicious and the service was the best I have had in years. Jamie was both personable and attentive.   • This is a very belated thank you to David Suro...
    In June of 1988, my wife Karol (de Costa Rica) was pregnant with our first child and ella tiene mucho hambre. We had already eaten at Tequilas (then 1511 Locust) several times and loved the food and the service. It was about 3:00 p.m. when we walked in. We were between their lunch and dinner times and they weren't scheduled to open for another 2 hours. David invited us to sit down and had his chefs prepare us a wonderful meal that he ordered for us. This was an unexpected treat and one we'll never forget. We've been loyal customers since 1987.
